FrankGSR's Slow Build

Postby frankGSR » Sat Oct 10, 2009 8:17 pm

Ok so now seems like a good time to post my build…or at least my build up to now.
She is a 1992 CX model and came with Milano Red paint and black interior. Bought her 2 ½ years ago after I totaled my CB7. The previous owner swapped a D16Z6 in and swapped the stock interior for Integra cloth seats. Also came with C-Pillar and lower strut bar and spoon style mirrors with antiHID blue mirrors. Bought a CF hood, Spoon Duckbill (ok a knock-off, but fitment is extremely good) lowering springs JDM Fogs and Stanley side markers were also purchased but have yet to be installed .

6 months later this happened:

My neighbors knocked on my door at 4 am to tell me he was on his way to work when he noticed my hood missing. I immediately called the police and it took them a whole 5 hours to get there for a report…even though the police station is no more than 200 yards away and I tried flagging down passing cops who waved at me. Either way found out some dude at work was proudly telling everyone he broke into my car and stole my shit so when I confronted him we got into a heated argument and my company called the cops and arrested his ass. Cops went to his property and returned my hood and his insurance paid for a new alarm and a new window; no intake as it was not insured.
Reinstalled my hood and since that dumbass didn’t take care of it I had to sand and re-clear coat

Skunk2 Mega Power was fitted and installed:

Last October I was acting a fool on the I-10 racing a B16 del sol when my block cracked. Sorry no pics. Purchased a JDM D15B and swapped it in:

And yes I know my bay is dirty, but I did a minor tuck as well.
I thought this was cool

Wow, what a dumbass. I would have kicked his ass in front of everyone. It looks good. How are you liking the D15B? I really like mine and think it's unique for a very small stroker motor.

haha he got what he deserved. when the cops got his house it was full of stolen property and he snitched out some of his friends which in turn led the cops to a storage unit with more of the guys stolen parts so they did some minor time and whatnot. the D15B is alright i can still hang with my buddys DC's even though im at the back of the pack lol. its definitely a good little motor

ever since i retrieved my hood from that dude i havent even put it on it just sits at my pad collecting bird shit outback. but as soon as i paint my car its going back on. i bought it from this guy who i thought had the sickest hatch ever for only 60 bucks brand new in packaging and everything.

the quick connect is simple if all you do is just that, if you want to wire the horn in properly it''s more of a hassle...in m opinion. i've
rewired mine to another switch in my car.

and the tilt is the same i'm sure. i havent had any experience with them at all. one suggestion to you is make sure you buy a lock for your wheel because everyone has a quick connect now a days and wheels are interchangeable you know

but i might buy one anyways in case when i move to houston,tx

Yeah mine hesitates sometimes when I left off the clutch. I still have to get it tuned and I was suprised when I read that japanese motors run on the equivalent to 93 octane in the US.

I leave my car running too when I stop at a gas station and such. But I'm going to quit doing it now so I don't even give anyone that chance.

just out of curiousity is the work you work at a big place with many employees or is it a small place? would be dumb to brag about stealing anything to begin with.

Finally slapped my new wheels and tires on.
They look like enkei 92's mixed with bbs mesh and i went with 195/60/14 tires.
Also adjusted my camber on a digital one so i should be straight for a while. Next week i'll be slapping on the swaybars.

and ill post pics later of my car
